RBI unlikely to slash interest rates

Reserve Bank Governor Dr Yaga Venugopal Reddy is scheduled to unveil the first quarter credit policy review later in the day where the analysts expect that key interest rates may be left unchanged. This expectation does not signal the softening of interest rates leading to cheap credit for corporates and consumers that have been burdened in the last few months with expensive funds and high inflation.
